Nature’s Broom Testing in the Gulf

May 8th, 2010

As a leader in bio-based absorbents and in an effort to provide an environmentally friendly option for those preparing for oil to come ashore from the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill, Nature’s Broom conducted many tests using its all natural product in conditions similar to what is expected from the oil spill. These tests took place in Gulfport, MS from May 5 through May 7, 2010.

Unlike other absorbents and dispersants currently being used, Natureʼs Broom is USDA Bio-Preferred and made entirely from recycled agricultural and forestry materials. Already proven to be effective in the everyday cleanup of oil spills, our goal was to be certain that our product would be equally effective along the coastline.

We are happy to say that our results were as we hoped and expected they would be. Over the next few days, we will be posting these demonstrations to our YouTube and Flickr channels, and you can view them by clicking on our link in the blogroll section of this site.

We will also post them to this page and welcome any comments you may have.

The Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill

May 1st, 2010

We at Nature’s Broom would like to express our deepest sympathies to the men and women of the Gulf Coast as oil comes ashore from the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill. This tragic event affects not only residents and businesses, but the fragile and magnificent ecosystem of the Gulf Coast. Our thoughts and prayers are with those responding to this emergency.

Nature’s Broom is an environmentally friendly absorbent company. Understanding the impact and implications of an oil spill is our business. That is why we are committed to do anything and everything we can to participate in the cleanup process. While this event is tragic, it should not be catastrophic. We believe the best solution is one that comes from the environment and is safe for the environment.

We salute and support everyone involved in dealing with this oil spill, from companies to government agencies to volunteer organizations. We appreciate everything you are doing.
